Boogie Responds To Police Violence With “Hypocrite Freestyle”
The Compton rapper’s song samples the mother of Alton Sterling’s eldest son.
On his new track - "Hypocrite Freestyle" - Boogie addresses the fear and brutality of the past week's events while also addressing his fellow artists. The shit that really got me hot is how you niggas make these songs about killers just for profit, he raps before admitting his own hypocrisy. The Keyel-produced track - which samples the voice of Quinyetta McMillon, the mother of Alton Sterling's eldest son - also focuses on the rapper's concerns over his son.
