Jevon Doe Is Joined By Bun B On “Comin’ Up”

On the eve of the release of his debut mixtape Story of My Life, bright young Houston prospect Jevon Doe has released a triumphant track called "Comin' Up" that finds him rapping in the company of a local legend, Bun B. On the track, Doe paints a picture of his past (Y'all was having fun, I was on the run/ I was locked up in a cell, I was going through hell) and asserts his ascension (People know my name, then they hear the sound). The production has a sort of celestial bent, and Bun B is braggadocios and brimming with hometown pride.
