Beyoncé Reportedly Sues Company For Using The Label “Feyoncé”
“Defendants’ conduct... is intentional, fraudulent, malicious, willful and wanton.”
According to The Guardian, Beyoncé filed a suit this week against a Texas company selling merchandise labelled “Feyoncé.” The legal documents alleged that the “defendants adopted the Feyoncé mark to call to mind Beyoncé… Defendants’ conduct described herein is intentional, fraudulent, malicious, willful and wanton.” In addition to shutting down the company’s “Feyoncé” line, the suit reportedly seeks unspecified damages.
This is not the first time Beyoncé has moved decisively against the label “Feyoncé:” last year she reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter to someone selling “Feyoncé” mugs on Etsy.
A representative for Beyoncé was not immediately available for comment.
