No, That’s Not Kylie Jenner Singing In Her Lip Gloss Commercial

It’s Terror Jr, a group produced by the same production team that made Kiiara.

On Thursday afternoon, Kylie Jenner premiered a new commercial for her new lip gloss line and left a lot of people confused. The video, which is directed by famed music video director Colin Tilley, splits the difference between an amateur rendition of Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money" video and an episode of Paris Hilton's classic, The Simple Life. Some fans also wondered about the song playing in the background of the three minute clip, with many asking if Jenner herself was singing on the track..

The song, called "Three Strikes," appeared on SoundCloud at the same time as the commercial did, posted by an artist called Terror Jr. The song is apparently the group's first-ever release.

But fans of Keeping Up With The Kardashians know that Kylie doesn't love to sing—as evidenced by the episode where the sisters record a song for Kris' birthday. Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney choose to re-record Kylie's vocal parts because they're so bad.

On Thursday, Terror Jr's newly launched Facebook page included a link to the website for Effess Records, the record label of producer Felix Snow. (The link has since been removed.) When contacted over email on Friday morning, a rep for the label said that the signer is someone named "Lisa." As the rep explained, "Terror Jr is a project from the guys who created Kiiara (Felix Snow and David aka Campa) and a girl named Lisa. They've expressed to me its their 'dream pop supergroup.'"

When asked for more info about Lisa, the rep did not immediately respond for comment.
