Beyoncé’s “Ring The Alarm” Gets Brutally Remixed By Angel-Ho And Chino Amobi of Non Records
The South African label takes the song’s title to extremes.
Angel-Ho and Chino Amobi told The FADER last year that they founded NON Records “..to run counter to current Western hyper-capitalist modes of representation and function.” Certainly, transforming a song by one of the biggest pop stars in the world into a menacing noise track is in line with that ethos.
The vocal stems of Beyoncé’s “Ring The Alarm” are stuffed into the bowels of a metallic beast, all shuddering servos and air raid sirens. It makes Yoncé's insistence of “I can't let you go” far, far more menacing than defiant. Listen below via Tiny Mixtapes.
