Jimi Tents Recruits Jay IDK And Dave East For “All Of It” Remix
The young New Yorker rapper says working on this was a learning experience.
Jimi Tents, a kicked-back but introspective 19-year-old rapper out of New York, released a debut project, 5 O'Clock Shadow EP, which brims with potential, late last fall. Today, he has released a remix of the project's lone trap-indebted cut "All of It" that features the think-y DMV rapper Jay IDK and the Nas-anointed Dave East.
"You know, I got in the studio with these guys and the energy was just right," Tents told The FADER of the remix, which he said goes out to the East coast. "Both Jay IDK and Dave East nailed it. I'm the youngest of Jay and Dave, so I basically was just taking in their process and how they move; how focused these niggas are is spooky. This track is spooky!” Which, the track's deep rumbling bassline is kind of spooky. Check it out below.
