Two-9 Make Their Own Fun In “Rolling” Video
The Atlanta crew’s #AugustTwo9 EP is out now.
Over the weekend, rambunctious Atlanta rap outfit Two-9 kicked off their new #Two9Day initiative—for which they plan on dropping a new project on the 29th day of the month, every month—with a 5-song EP called #AugustTwo9. Today the guys drop off a video for a track off that project called "Rolling," a song that Jace told The FADER he likes "a lot" because it describes an experience a lot of us have probably had: being high and being bored.
"It's simple," he told The FADER over email. "It captures a vibe and mood I think a lot of young people who spent countless nights with their friends, just riding around getting high in a car with nothing to do, nowhere to go. Just making food runs, dummy missions. Posting up. Just rollin' while rollin."
Accordingly, in the video the guys linger in a dark Krispy Kreme parking lot, a neon-lit hallway, and an empty alleyway. I'm geeked up just rolling round my city, indeed.
