Tirzah And Micachu Are Back With “What’s The Use”
The London singer and producer tease their next release with “a beat for the beat’s sake.”
It's been two years since south Londoners Tirzah and Micachu (of the Shapes) stole the summer with "I'm Not Dancing," a magic pop gem that seemed to lurch out of nowhere with its perfect devil-may-care chorus. Since her 2013 EP of the same name, the singer's been pretty quiet, but this fall Tirzah's set to return with a new single called "Make It Up"; and premiering below is the bass-y b-side, "What's The Use." “This was us enjoying making a track that was just having a beat for the beat’s sake," Tirzah explained to The FADER over email. "We were going to try and put vocals on it, but it but only ever worked with a bit of sample. Hope it’s enjoyed!" If you're a Londoner, catch Tirzah and Micachu live this Thursday (July 9th) at Electrowerkz—see the full details below.
