Back in March, Variety reported that director Malik Vitthal had been tapped to helm a new film titled Body Cam. The plot is described as being centered upon "several LAPD officers who are haunted by a malevolent spirit that is tied to the murder of a black youth at the hands of two white cops." All of this, of course, is captured on the titular body camera.

Now, the film has its lead, and it's none other than Mary J. Blige. She'll star as an LAPD officer who "begins seeing visions and starts to investigate the cover-up." There's not yet a date for the Paramount Picture flick, but considering the studio is describing it as "Get Out meets End of Watch", it's definitely one of the more intriguing upcoming horror movies to keep an eye out for.
