Shortly after he announced details of new album DAYTONA, due this Friday, Pusha T stopped by Power 105.1’s Angie Martinez for an in-depth interview. Martinez quizzed him on many subjects, though talk soon turned to Kanye West and his flirtation with the Alt-right.

Maryinez line of questioning was blunt ("Wassup with ya man?”) and Pusha was just as forthright with his dimissal of his friend's support of the President. “It’s just another one of many things we disagree on,” he said. “It’s just a stance that I have. I’m totally against it.”

Pusha argued that making himself a target for criticism means Kanye takes extra effort to ensure his music is as good as it can be. “I do feel like it affects [the music] in a positive way because I do feel like he knows that that’s one thing that better not lack,” he explained. “People are sniping and they’re ready to shoot.”
