New York Fashion Week was fun as hell. Teyana Taylor tore up the Phillip Plein and GCDS presentations, Cardi B and Offset left every past front-row love in the dust, Solange soundtracked Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s show, and Kelela killed it on not one, but two runways.

In the midst of these extra-exciting guest appearances, we couldn’t forget the clothes, of course. Below, see our favorite trends spotted across eight days of runway shows, from everything sheer and clear, to peek-a-boo bottoms, cut-out accents, and more.

1. Sheer everything, inside and out.

Eckhaus Latta channeled a few bright hues for their sheer endeavors, but this light blue wrap that signals the return of the visible titty is incredible.

You don't always have to bare-all under sheer, though. Calvin Klein shared a cool and understated layered option for spicing up a tee or dress. We're sold on it.

Ruffle-y under-sheer adds some nice spice to a simpler look. We love how Creatures of Comfort worked this tank in below a simple blue dress.

Sheer can be sporty, too! God bless Rihanna for this badass see-through mini-dress (and literally everything else FENTY x PUMA showed this season).

2. Clear jackets to show off those under layers.

Adam Selman ate TF out of this look. We are super into the blue-clear jacket with flower detailing, and those pants are an added bonus.

Love the greenhouse vibes we're getting from this clear green Assembly coat. Makes us wanna get a lil' scientific.

This slightly more intense, clear utility jacket by Marc Jacobs rules.

3. Skin windows.

This week, Kelela was the queen of the cut-out. This Telfar look is incredible, and lets your skin shine right along with the pieces you've got on.

We screamed when we saw Kelela walking at Eckhaus Latta. She kills this collar-bone and knee-cap-highlighting body-hugging look.

4. The sweater-cessory.

Who said you could only wear sweaters one way? This Matthew Adams Dolan shoulder-slung sweater accent goes, and brings the whole fit together without taking it over.

I LOVE THIS LOOK. And smiled big when I saw it go down the runway. Creatures of Comfort nails this sweater-cum-corset/waist-enhancer wrapped look and I am here for it!

5. Contrasting textures.

A post shared by Sies Marjan (@siesmarjan) on

We played around with texture explorations a few weeks ago, and this Sies Marjan look brought back all those feels. This giant furry coat with a silky set is exactly what I want to be wearing in the middle of winter and summer.

Maryam Nassir Zadeh brought her presentation to the home of a track and field meet, and it ruled. This look, comprised of a shiny silver skirt paired with layered orange and pink ribbed tops, reminds us of the butting up of a grassy field to a pink and rubber track.

6. Bike shorts are for more than biking.

One more time for Queen Rih. FENTY x PUMA came correct with the sportswear that's ready for everyday livin'. Pair these babies with a similarly tight and cropped top, or let 'em shine under that loose hoodie or dress.

Chromat makes fantastic "future forward bodywear." These bike short babies are no exception.

So these might not be labeled as "bike shorts," but their hot pant style is along the same lines. Rock these textured options with mixed and matched sporty and casual pieces for the ultimate power 'fit.

7. Pants that peek out.

Again. I LOVED this CoC collection. My favorite part by far was their pairing of long, elegant dresses and tunics with loose-fitting and colorful bottoms that created a fully flowy, and in command look. The way they peaked out of the bottom was O.D. cute and will make for smart layering when a chill comes around.

Shorts can peek out too! Peep these purple tight ones saying hello from underneath this unbuttoned, ankle-length green skirt.
