Cosmic producer Planes reimagines a groovy love connection from outer space in the video for "Russian Tonight." Backed by her nostalgic 80's electronic R&B production, animator Trevor Trash illustrated an engaging version of the sonic polymath as she muses over a lover. Perched on a rosy colored cliff, Planes taps her foot and sings, "I often see your face, I can't escape the thought of you."

"I actually wrote a good bit of the lyrics for 'Russian Tonight' a few years ago, when I was just starting to produce," Planes told FADER over email. "It was just recently that I was able to construct the beat and get it to match the overall vibe of the song. I knew I wanted the vocals to be simple yet smooth, but the beat was definitely supposed to ride, with those Zapp & Roger vibes and I wanted to do something super unique and spacey with the visual. I collaborated with Trevor Trash, an amazing animator, and he totally brought my vision to life."
