Drake’s More Life Was Tweeted About Over 2.5 Million Times This Weekend

The Toronto artist’s playlist project dominated Twitter in the first 36 hours after its release.

On Saturday evening, Oliver El-Khatib premiered Drake's More Life project on OVO Sound Radio, playing the 22-track playlist all the way through as the rest of the internet followed along. The global listening party inspired a great deal of reactions on Twitter.

According to a Twitter spokesperson, the album inspired over 2.5 million tweets in the first 36 hours after its release. At the peak of the Twitter conversation, Drake and More Life were the subject of 5.7 million tweets per minute. In comparison, Beyoncé's Lemonade visual album generated 1.8 million tweets in the eight hours after its premiere on HBO, and Rihanna's Anti album was tweeted about 675,000 times in the 24 hours after its release.
