July 10, 2015

Singer/songwriter/producer/seducer The Dream was due to release new music today to complement the Crown EP he released several months ago. But instead of fresh tunes, the singer posted a lengthy note on Instagram. “A 3 month long negotiation has ended and I am no longer being distributed by Capitol Records,” he wrote. Though the music is finished, the sudden change in circumstances has delayed the release. He continues: “The album as you see was completely done April 21st… however when you take a product back and then want to distribute yourself after [c]odes are in systems at various [o]utlets… It has to be recoded and unfortunately the date changes.” Read his full post below, and watch The Dream at work in his studio on FADER TV.
